Romans received his degree from the University of Dundee with a first class MEng Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in June 2015. During the course of his studies he undertook a 4th year research project in developing an acoustic tweezers system “Electronic control of precision tweezers made with ultrasonic array”. His master dissertation was about micro ultrasound imaging “Micro ultrasound prototyping software based on DSL FI Toolbox system”.
Romans joined the Sonopill team in October 2015 working as a PhD student. Fraser’s research is focus on developing compact ultrasound front-end electronics with low power consumption. Romans’ PhD is supervised by Professor Sandy Cochran with Professor David Cumming as 2nd supervisor.
