Pathfinder Pill - 2014 Venture Programme Finalist

  • Pathfinder Pill – 2014 Venture Programme Finalist

The Pathfinder Pill was a finalist in a business competition. The device was classed as a product to be further developed with an aim of Commercialisation. The ‘Venture Programme’ is a Dragon’s Den style competition whereby Dr. Vipin Seetohul and Mr. Srikanta Sharma teamed up to pitch in front of a panel of business experts, for seed money for the Pathfinder Pill.  The University of Dundee saw its highly successful Venture programme in its fourth year in 2014. This programme provides training opportunities for enterprising and innovative researchers and includes a series of workshops, mentoring sessions and a competition. The aim is to develop researchers’ innovation, creativity and risk-management by promoting a can-do attitude. The training and mentoring period culminates in an optional competition which requires the preparation of a 2 page Business Plan. A maximum of 6 entries, selected from the Business Plans received, progressed to pitch for the prize, on 1 May 2014.
